hat kind of music does Ruby play? She says, "My music has a unique style of its own and I feel it depends on your age what you choose to call it. For instance, it could be called new acoustic, new folk, contemporary folk, folk/blues, folk/rock, adult contemporary or pop. That's probably the single most-asked question I face. My answer? Call it original." Playing her own, original style, Ruby can make you laugh as well as cry.

From the rockbound coast of Maine to the coral isles of the Florida Keys, and from colleges to cafés, Ruby's music is enthusiastically welcomed by her listening crowds.
Who *is* Ruby?
Born in New Jersey, Ruby started young in her musical endeavors, first performing at wedding ceremonies. At 20, already with lots of performance experience to her credit, Ruby moved to New England and settled in the Bar Harbor, Maine area, performing at cafés, bars, fairs and concert halls up and down the rugged rockbound coast. Eventually, her music took her to the Florida Keys as well, where her inspiring performances were as eagerly anticipated as the lovely Key West sunsets. Influenced by such music greats as Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell and Melissa Etheridge, Ruby's songs and her performances are colorful and sensual, while her hearty voice is sultry and rich, complemented by her percussive strumming and finger-style technique on her ever-present guitar.
Her love for music and for life itself clearly shows in her work. Her debut CD, recorded in 1992, is entitled "Heart to Heart." Her second CD, "Visions of Love," was released in the late summer of 1996. Ruby's holiday CD, "Happy Holidays" followed in 2000. Ruby has proven time and again that she can unfailingly delight her listening audiences with her selections of Blues, Folk and Rock music, new and old.
