It is constructed with a Baltic birch top & back, with a solid walnut frame and solid maple pinblocks. Phoenix Dulcimer package

Phoenix Package 3 Octave Hammered Dulcimer
This hammered dulcimer is similar to the size of the Warbler hammered dulcimer, described below, but it has a birch ply soundboard and back, making it less costly.
It has:
(blond color) Laminated birch top and back, walnut rails and bridges, hard maple pin blocks.
It has a bright tone. Has 16 treble courses, 15 bass courses. It looks like the Meadowlark.
This is a Phoebe dulcimer upraded to be a package that comes with:
Dulcimer, wood hammers, wrench, book, electronic tuner, tuner clip, case, and scissors design stand**.
**The stand may vary between one used if you sit on a chair (height of dulcimer approximately 23 1/2" from the floor on the bass end) or if you stand (height of dulcimer approximately 35" from the floor on the bass end). Please tell us which you prefer if we have both on hand.

Warbler Chromatic 3 Octave Hammered Dulcimer
This hammered dulcimer is similar to the Phoebe hammered dulcimer, but it has extra bridges installed which add the extra notes that will give you a complete 12-note chromatic scale.This hammered dulcimer model is constructed in the same manner as the 16/15 model, but has 17 treble courses, 16 bass courses, and 8 chromatic courses.
The soundboard and back are usually made of solid cherry.
The rails (top and bottom walls) and bridges are made of maple.
Bridges, binding around soundhole, binding around outside edges are walnut.

These are nicely tailored, close-fitting soft-shell cases made of a protective thickness of foam sandwiched between a smooth inner lining and a tough outer covering of waterproofed cordura. Zipper closing, inner compartment for playing leg, large accessory pocket, carrying handles, and shoulder strap of nylon webbing.
